Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga
Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga is set to brief the nation at 15:00 on Sunday as millions of children prepare to return to school on Monday.
However, teacher unions say they remain concerned about safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unions say they are most concerned about the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and North West.
The department says Sunday's briefing will address concerns raised by unions.
