#Eskom: Stage 2 blackouts to continue─── 05:29 Mon, 25 Oct 2021
Eskom has announced that power cuts will continue until Tuesday night.
The utility implemented blackouts from 21:00 on Saturday.
The embattled power utility says this is due to a shortage of generation capacity.
It now says unit 1 at the Koeberg Power Station tripped on Sunday morning, which means outages need to be implemented to replenish reserves.
Eskom says over the past 24 hours teams have returned to service a unit each at the Tutuka and Hendrina Power Stations, while two Kusile units are also back up.
