It has been exactly two years since South Africa's first Covid-19 patient was confirmed.
South Africa has recorded 1,735 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
601 of those were identified in Gauteng with 410 in the Western Cape and 284 in KwaZulu-Natal.
All other provinces recorded less than 200 new cases.
Sadly, a further 26 people have died.
