Former Bafana Bafana coach joins Marumo Gallants─── MORGAN PIEK 07:43 Tue, 26 Nov 2024
Bloemfontein-based Premier Soccer League club Marumo Gallants have made a significant addition to their coaching team as the league resumes this week.
Former Bafana Bafana head coach Molefi Ntseki has joined the club as Technical Director.
Ntseki, a native of Botshabelo in the Free State, brings a wealth of experience to Gallants. He previously led the South African national team before Hugo Broos took over and most recently served as both Technical Director and head coach at Kaizer Chiefs.
The club believes Ntseki’s roots in the Free State, coupled with his deep understanding of the region’s football culture, will be invaluable.

“His impressive track record and passion for developing young talent make him an ideal fit for the club. Hailing from Botshabelo, he has a deep understanding of the Free State province and fans, which is an added bonus,” said the club in a statement.
“Gallants’ team and management look forward to Ntseki’s leadership and expertise to support the club’s technical growth and success.”
Ntseki expressed his enthusiasm for returning to his home province and he is determined to change the clubs fortunes in the league.

“I’m looking forward to working hard as the Technical Director. I want to thank the club, the supporters, the coaches, and management. I’m here to work with everyone to make this club a success.”
In addition to Ntseki’s appointment, Gallants have recently brought in Duncan Lechesa, former Bloemfontein Celtic assistant coach, to strengthen their technical team. Head coach Dan Malesela remains at the helm and aims to build on the team’s strong Carling Knockout Cup performances as they look to improve their league standing, where they currently sit 14th after six matches.
Marumo Gallants will return to action on Friday evening when they face SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
