The Itec Knights are in the final of the CSA T20 Knockout being played in Kimberley at the expense of the North West Dragons.

This is after rain led to a no result and the Knights advanced by virtue of the superior net run rate.

The Knights had a bat first and limped to 127/7 in 19 overs, and the Dragons needed 130 to win according to the Duckworth-Lewis method.

The seamer, Gerald Coetzee, started with the bat for the Knights with 29 not out off of 12 balls, while the captain, Pite van Biljon, also scored 29.

Eldred Hawken, with 3/37, was the pick of the Dragons bowlers.

The Dragons managed just 2.3 overs and were on 42 without loss when the heavens opened up again.

When play was called, Eben Botha was unbeaten on 21 off of 8 balls for the Dragons, while his fellow opener, Wesley Marshall, was also unbeaten, but with 20 off of 7 deliveries.

In Thursday's first semi-final, the Dolphins beat the Titans by 4 wickets.

The final will be played Friday afternoon at 13:00 at the Diamond Oval between the Knights and the Dolphins.
