The big serving South African will be up against the Czech Republics’ Jiri Vesely in the first round of the year’s final Grand Slam.

Anderson says he is feeling good ahead of his slam opener.

“I'm definitely looking forward to playing. I have a lot of belief in myself.

“Not being seeded is a bit of a wildcard, but there are never easy matches at this level, but obviously playing some of the best guys at this level is a little bit more challenging.

“We just have to wait and see how it pans out, but all I can do is control the things on my side of the court and that is what I'll be looking to do.”

Anderson and Vesely are set to face each on court 7, not earlier than 17:00.
