Harris in action at Estoril Open─── MORGAN PIEK 09:31 Tue, 26 Apr 2022
South Africa's leading singles player, Lloyd Harris, is set to be on court this afternoon in the round of 32 at the Estoril Open in Portugal.
This is just a few days after the 25-year-old withdrew from the third-round match against Australia's Alex de Minaur at Barcelona.
Harris pulled out of the clay-court event due to back spasms after going six-love down in the first set.
This afternoon at 13:00 Harris will play against Carlos Taberner of Spain at the ATP250 event.
On Wednesday Harris is also scheduled to play in the doubles with Jonathan Erlich of Israel.
Harris is also struggling with a wrist problem for quite some time now, and he may be under surgery later in the year after the US Open at Flushing Meadows.
Should he undergo the procedure to repair the problem, he may miss the end of the season.
