Oranje turned in a dominant display in the final of the Amanda Coetzer Tennis tournament in Bloemfontein on Saturday to claim an emphatic 5-1 win over the thirteen-time champions, Bloemhof, from Stellenbosch.

The Oranje coach, MC Olivier, told OFM Sport that he was chuffed with the dominant performance by his team.

“It's always special playing against Bloemhof", Olivier told OFM Sport.

“In the past 20 years they have settled themselves as the best tennis schools in the country. So, it's always special beating Bloemhof.

“I'm extremely proud of the girls for the manner in which that they handled the pressure. There is always that added bit of pressure when you are playing at home, so I'm proud of the way they handled it.

“I'm proud of the way they played in the final. They played well throughout the tournament, but especially in the final.”

Oranje has now won the annual tournament for a fifth time since its inception in 1997.
