For the first time in 24 years Wimbledon, will be played without one of the greatest men’s singles players of all-time in action.
The 2022 grass-court Grand Slam will be without Roger Federer for the first time since 1998.
In that year the Swiss master won the junior men’s singles and he turned professional in the same year.
The eight-time champion is still recovering for three knee operations he has had to undergo in the past two years.
Federer is expected to make his return to competitive tennis later in the year, while he has also stated that he expects to enjoy a full season in 2023.
Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in London gets underway on Monday.
