South Africa's leading men's singles player, Lloyd Harris, has failed to qualify for the upcoming French Open at Roland Garros.
South Africa's leading men's singles player, Lloyd Harris, has failed to qualify for the upcoming French Open at Roland Garros.
Harris was knocked out in the second row of the qualifying tournament with a straight-sets defeat to Mattia Bellucci of Italy.
Bellucci had little trouble in beating the South African with a 6-1 and 7-6 win to advance to the third and final round of qualifying.
While Harris was sublime in the hard-courts of Asia, he has managed to win just two games on the clay-courts in Europe.
The 2024 French Open at Roland Garros in Paris will start on Sunday.
