South Africa’s leading men’s singles player, Lloyd Harris, has broken into the top100 on the ATP rankings again.
Harris, who has career-highest ranking on 31st in the world, won the Surbiton Trophy event on that ATP Challenger tour this week.
While Harris failed to qualify for the French Open at Roland Garros he started preparing for Wimbledon by playing a grass-court event on the Challenger Tour.
Harris beat Leandro Riedi 7-6 and 7-5 in the final of the grass-court event in England for his third Challenger Tour title of the season and his first on the surface this year.
The title sees the 27-year-old South African jump 34 to 98th in the world.
Just last month Harris impressed on the hard-courts in Asia by winning the Gwangju Challenger in Korea and the Shenzhen Challenger in China.
On Tuesday, Harris will face Beibit Zhukayev of Kazakhstan in the first round of the Nottingham Challenger event.
