A time kids look forward to for the entire term and most parents detest.
It's in the middle of the school holidays and even though this is a relatively short one, most parents are left entertaining their kids during the holidays. In the modern world kids can't just be left to play and do whatever they want. It is also too expensive for most families to go away every single holiday of the year.
