Jena became a serious animal activist earlier this week by rescuing a small dog during a citizen's arrest in Hollywood. The actress took to Twitter to tell the story of how the rescue happened, as she was not alone in trying to help the small dog from allegedly being attacked by a man.

She related how she called one man in an orange vest to help go and protect the dog, and while she was doing that, five other men showed up to assist in rescuing the dog.

There is a video that was shared by NBC outlet KNBC showing the altercation, with the men attacking the one man who is accused of attacking the small dog. The video shows how the police arrived to arrest him.

In her Instagram bio, Jena also linked to a GoFundMe page that said that the small dog's name is Champ, and that he had been missing for about five days before he was rescued, according to The Insider.
