US - American TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey has has been named the most powerful celebrity in the world. Winfrey knocked Angelina Jolie off the top spot of Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list. The list is based on earnings and media exposure. Singer Beyonce came in second, while film director James Cameron re-entered the chart at number three following his success with Avatar. Controversial singer Lady Gaga was the highest new entry on the list at number four. Beleaguered golf star Tiger Woods was the only sports star to make the top 10. Forbes added a social media ranking this year that took into account each celebrity's presence on Facebook and Twitter.
