Charl du Plessis Trio: 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover with Charl du Plessis (piano), Werner Spies (bass), Peter Auret (drums). The Charl du Plessis Trio is one of the most recognisable instrumental groups in South Africa. They have released nine albums, won four SAMA awards and regularly perform in Europe and Eastern Asia. Their style combines classical music with influences of jazz, pop and world music and is aimed at the curious listener. In their latest programme they perform the music of Bach, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite and new arrangements of ABBA and Paul Simon. The trio comprises Charl du Plessis (piano), Werner Spies (bass) and Peter Auret (drums).
