#Bloemfontein Police officer’s body found at Parkweg police station─── MARK STEENBOK 16:20 Tue, 03 Apr 2018

Tragedy struck the Parkweg Police station in Bloemfontein when it became a crime scene on Monday evening.
This follows after a police officer died on the premises.
Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo says the body of the 27 year-old Constable Xolile Dada, who was working at the Parkweg Community Service Centre, was discovered last night. She says Dada was found with a gunshot wound to the head and a 9mm official firearm was also found next to his body.
“A police constable affiliated under the Parkweg Crime Prevention Task team made a shocking discovery yesterday as he went to the men`s bathrooms at the police station. The constable said as he was approaching the door to the toilet he heard a loud bang.
As he tried to enter the bathroom, he saw the body on the floor and went to alert other colleagues. According to Mbabmo no foul play is suspected and a case of inquest has been registered for further investigation. Our heartfelt condolences to the family, colleagues and friends,” says Mbambo.
The Provincial Commissioner, Moeketsi Sempe urged members to continuously make use of the Employee Health and Wellness services to assist them in dealing with their personal and work related pressures. This includes going for debriefing to alleviate the stress emanating from their unusual encounters during the performance of their duties.
