Houtkop Road was earlier barricaded with burning tires and other objects by striking workers from the Lethabong mixed housing development in Sebokeng in the Vaal.
This, after the workers claimed they have not received payment for 2 months now.
OFM-News made several attempts to fruitless attempts get comment from the Gauteng department of human settlements.
The police were busy monitoring the situation, and advised motorists to use alternative routes to connect to Vereeniging CBD.
