Tswaing residents experience water shortages─── 11:30 Sat, 24 Oct 2020

Residents of Tswaing Local Municipality, which includes Ottosdal, Delareyville, Sannieshof and villages such as Kopela and Ganalaagte in the North West, continues to be affected by water shortages.
Parts of Letsopa have been without water since last Sunday and residents have to use refuse bins and wheelbarrows to carry water.
A resident in the area, Pogiso Tshilo, says it is painful that taps installed last year during a water project in Iraq informal settlement, are not helping them at all.
North West Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs spokesperson, Dineo Thapelo, said two boreholes in Geysdorp are dysfunctional due to broken pumps.
"Replacement boreholes will be installed this weekend and water supply will be restored", said Thapelo.
Meanwhile, OFM News is still awaiting comment from the municipality regarding water challenges in the above-mentioned towns.
