Water supply to FS township to be restored─── 06:30 Sun, 21 Feb 2021
The water supply to Extension 2, which include the Pholani Extension and the Mohlakeng Township in Intabazwe at Harrismith in the Free State, will finally be restored.
This comes after officials from Maluti-A-Phofung (MAP) Water established the issue pertaining to residents not having water supply for almost a year.
MAP Water spokesperson, Tebogo Kwakwa, says through the consent of the community, they found that one of the hawkers at the Intabazwe Taxi Rank erected a stall over a water valve.
She says MAP Water will embark on the project to ensure that all water systems are safe and secured.
Kwakwa further explained that the water entity would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to the residents of Extension 2 due to a lack of water supply.
