FS police deployed for biker's funeral─── 16:23 Fri, 14 Nov 2014
Bloemfontein - Bloemfontein police will be deployed to curb any violence this weekend as bikers from all over the country are expected to attend the funeral of a murdered fellow biker.
Reliable sources have confirmed to OFM News that the Tactical Response Team and other units will be on standby during Michael Jacobs’ funeral on Saturday. He was shot five times at the Pub Stop bar last Saturday.
Various media reports this past week have suggested that a war between bikers from various clubs is brewing.
Another biker, Jakobus du Toit, appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Friday in connection with the murder.
His bail application was postponed to next Thursday. He remains in custody.
Du Toit revealed to the court that he has heard rumours that there are numerous people who plan to cause him harm.
He added that plenty of people who are concerned about his safety have offered him secret accommodation around and outside Bloemfontein.
