Kheswa says Moqhaka is looking to partner up with more local businesses in improving the condition of the towns under its jurisdiction like it did with Ignite and Revive Kroonstad. 

The latter is made up of local businessmen who took it upon themselves to improve the conditions of the Free State town, thus securing the coveted title of Kwêla's Dorp van die Jaar. 

One of the members of Ignite and Revive, Pieter van Rensburg, told OFM News previously that they had anticipated the win, as they put a lot of work into marketing Kroonstad.

Van Rensburg added that this victory means the town will be able to attract new feet to the town, which could boost the town's economy. "Despite the competition officially ending, we will maintain momentum and continue to do renovations in the town," Van Rensburg added.

The sentiments of the Ignite and Revive member are echoed by Kheswa who says Kroonstad is ready for investment, particularly on the tourism front.
