Mangaung pressure group issues a stern warning─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:21 Sat, 06 Nov 2021
A Mangaung pressure group has issued a stern warning to the incoming leadership of the Free State’s Metro.
This after the African National Congress (ANC) managed to retain the struggling Metro, despite criticism from its residents.

OFM News previously reported that the ANC managed to secure 50.61% of the votes in Mangaung in the Free State in this year’s local government elections.
They were trailed by the Democratic Alliance (DA) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) who obtained 18.77% and 12.41% of the votes respectively.
The Chairperson of the Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF), Potso Motoko, expressed his disappointment at how the elections panned out.
However, Motoko maintained that they will continue to put pressure on the Mangaung Metro Municipality to guarantee services for the residents.
“MSDF still stands by its decision that, should people – against whom there are allegations of corruption – return to the Mangaung Metro, we’re not going to lie low, because they will still fail our people with service delivery. Also, corrupt activities are still going to take place. That simply means we will have to push our way to make sure that we clean the metro,” adds Motoko.

OFM News had previously reported that enraged residents of Mangaung marched to the Premier's Office in Bloemfontein to deliver a memorandum of their demands.
Meanwhile, Motoko tells OFM News that they will be meeting with Mangaung officials again to get their response to the memorandum that was delivered two weeks ago.
