ANC's Mbiwe elected as new Setsoto mayor─── 15:42 Wed, 24 Nov 2021
The ANC in the Setsoto Local Municipality in the Free State has won the mayoral position.
This follows after the party's candidate, Seipati Mbiwe, managed to garner 19 votes against 11 to the EFF's Lebohang Mokoakoe.
Mokoakoe says they only want to see residents being served.
He adds residents want nothing but services, irrespective of who won the mayoral position.
Setsoto Service Delivery Forum's Lillian Mohanoe also adds that there are no roads in the area.
He pleaded with other parties to work together towards decent service delivery.
Mbiwe, who was present during the chaos that took the life of the service delivery activist, Andries Tatane, added residents should be served properly.
Tatane was shot and killed by police officers during a service delivery protest in 2011.
