#AsbestosGate: Magashule tells rivals to stop talking about him─── LUCKY NKUYANE 09:02 Mon, 21 Feb 2022

The former Free State premier and suspended ANC Secretary-General (SG), Ace Magashule, has told his rivals to stop talking about him.
During an interview with national broadcaster eNCA on Sunday in Bloemfontein, Magashule warned Free State Cogta MEC Mxolisi Dukwana and others to stop talking about him. His comment comes ahead of the scheduled two-day pretrial proceedings in the Free State High Court on Monday over the failed R255 asbestos housing audit project.
Magashule - along with co-accused, former Mangaung mayor Olly Mlamleli and businessman Edwin Sodi, amongst others - faces charges of corruption. Magashule says he was told by some MECs that during the visit by former ANC president, Thabo Mbeki, in Bloemfontein this past weekend, he and former president Jacob Zuma were spoken ill of.
He has warned that the ANC cannot speak of renewal whilst some leaders of the party continue to blame former President Zuma for the so-called nine wasted years. Magashule further threatened to expose those who are fighting him politically.
Dukwana previously blamed Magashule for the corruption in the province. He even went to the state capture commission to expose what he believes was the rot in Magashule's then government.

He told the commission that many politicians in the Free State were highly compromised, from the lowest to the highest rank. He previously said, during his tenure as MEC, that he was offered R2 million monthly in exchange for his signature on a document that would have authorised a R41,8 billion investment deal to build a "new city" in the Lejweleputswa District Municipality, which would have benefited the controversial Gupta family, Magashule and their associates.
