The Mangaung Service Delivery Forum (MSDF) has yet again threatened to shut down the capital of the Free State if their proposals continue to be ignored by the provincial government.

Speaking to OFM News, the Chairperson of the MSDF, Potso Motoko, says they have taken to the streets once again because of the "stubbornness" of the municipality and the government, in particular, the Department of Health.

He says they are vowing to be the catalysts of change because the inadequacies of the government continue to steal opportunities from the metro's disadvantaged residents.

"…particularly the Department of Health. We've been marching and moving up and down for the community health workers (CHW) to be permanent but even today, our marches did not yield results. So today, it's our final march to say to them that if they don't do that we're going to stage a very serious activity that they will have to respond to," Motoko says.

"Service delivery, absorption of CHWs, security officers’ absorption, away with early childhood development (ECD) migration without practitioners agreement, jobs for all, away with corruption, nepotism and harassment of SAPS members, and the reinstatement of whistleblower Patricia Mashale, all unprocedural. Employees in Mangaung and the Free State must be reviewed and all foreigners must go," concluded Motoko.

OFM News Corn Koteli previously reported that the group held several protests regarding the same issues. They have held meetings in both Botshabelo and Thaba 'Nchu over the past weekend to inform their stakeholders on how they plan to deliver a "sound memorandum for their demands to be heard".
