Water interruptions expected in Ficksburg─── 07:05 Sun, 29 May 2022
The Setsoto Local Municipality in the Free State has issued a water interruption notice to the community of Ficksburg from Tuesday 31 May to Saturday 4 June.
The municipality says this is due to a huge leak and advises community members to make arrangements of storing water to use while water supply interruptions are taking place.
The communications office of the municipality further says that while attending to this leak, the municipality will also do maintenance on the Ficksburg reticulation water pipes.
The office says "it is based on this situation that the community is advised to make their arrangements of storing water to use while the maintenance is taking place. Those who will need a refill can contact us on 058 933 9304 to deliver water to them at scheduled times".
The office concludes that the municipality would like to apologise for any inconvenience that might be caused by the situation.
