A case of culpable homicide is being investigated after an accident claimed four lives in Kleinzee in the Northern Cape.
Provincial police spokesperson, Mashay Gamaldien, says the accident also left 15 people seriously injured. She adds it is alleged the driver lost control of his double-cab bakkie, which was transporting 25 occupants.
Thursday's accident between Kleinzee and Port Nolloth comes not long after an alleged incident between the mine security and miners at Kleinzee earlier in the week. At this point it is however unclear whether the two incidents are connected.
