North West police forum chairperson laid to rest─── KEKELETSO MOSEBETSI 09:41 Mon, 10 Jul 2023

The chairperson of the police forum in North West, Dixson Ngamlane, and his wife have been laid to rest.
The funeral of the couple took place at Mmabatho Civic Centre on Saturday 8 July 2023 after they were involved in a car accident at Fochville, Gauteng, last week. The national police spokesperson said Ngamlane was a member of the Community Police Forum (CPF) board for the past 23 years and served as the Mahikeng Cluster CPF Chairperson, and later as the Provincial CPF Board Chairperson, a role he held until his passing. He had been chairperson of the provincial CPF board since 2016.
The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Fannie Masemola, described Ngamlane as a dedicated and humble volunteer.
“Mr Ngamlane was not just the provincial chairperson of the CPF Board in this province, he was a significant stakeholder of the SAPS, a gallant man who was dedicated to the fight against crime. The SAPS, the community of North West, and indeed the country at large have lost one of its dedicated servants. His contribution to the formation of CPF structures in the North West is a legacy that will forever be remembered. We also pay tribute to his wife, who died together with Mr Ngamlane,” said Masemola.
