Missing North West teen found─── LUCKY NKUYANE 10:10 Tue, 14 Nov 2023
A 14-year-old North West girl who was reported missing has been found safe and sound.
Police spokesperson, Aafje Botma, reports Katlego Ngenya from Letlhabile zone 5 near Brits, has since been reunited with her family. Ngwenya disappeared on Saturday (11/11) around 17:00. The Brits Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit has been asked to help find her.
The police have not shared any details about the successful tracing of the teenage girl. She left her home but never returned.
Meanwhile, Free State police have opened a case of kidnapping after Lesego Mamello Motaung (22) was reported missing. Police spokesperson Thabo Covane said a case of kidnapping was opened on Monday (30/10).
“Her aunt said Lesego left her home in Uitsig and was on her way to work at a food chain restaurant in Zastron Street, Westdene,“ he said. A colleague alleged she let them know she wouldn’t come to work due to illness.
