The Northern Cape Economic Development, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (NCEDA) successfully launched the Provincial Tourism Summer Campaign on Friday, 28 November 2025, at Vanderkloof Resort.
The event featured a vibrant showcase of local tourism experiences and positioned Vanderkloof Resort as a compelling stopover for travellers along the N12 and N1 routes - offering them a refreshing break and a taste of the Northern Cape’s unique charm.

NCEDA’s Acting CEO, Mr. Shawn Modise, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating: “On behalf of the Northern Cape Economic Development, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, I extend my gratitude to all who joined team at Vanderkloof Resort. This campaign highlights the province’s hidden gems, strengthens domestic travel, and welcomes international visitors to experience the Northern Cape’s adventure, culture, and natural beauty.”
The Northern Cape Summer Campaign formed part of South Africa’s national tourism initiative, led by the Ministry of Tourism under the iconic “Sho’t Left” banner. The campaign was designed to stimulate travel during the peak summer season, encouraging South Africans to explore local destinations while celebrating the country’s rich cultural and natural diversity with international visitors.

The Vanderkloof Resort launch not only celebrated the province’s diverse tourism offerings but also served as a platform to strengthen partnerships between government, local enterprises, and communities.
