Report on Hartbeespoort Dam boat fire expected by week’s end─── DANE BEISHEIM 16:05 Wed, 23 Nov 2016

Hartbeespoort - Police forensic investigations are continuing following the incident of a fire which broke out on a boat in Hartbeespoort Dam in North West on Saturday.
This is according to the owner of the boat and the company, Boaters World Adventures, Nico Wessels.
Three women drowned and another succumbed to the flames when the vessel, which had about 200 passengers and crew on board, caught fire in the afternoon. Wessels told OFM News that he is awaiting feedback from the South African Maritime Safety Authority (Samsa) and the police.
“Samsa has done all their investigations and found everything in order [and] so have the police. The forensic fire people are still investigating what exactly caused the fire. By the looks of it we should know round about Friday what was the cause of the fire,” Wessels added.
