Bloemfontein - Free State MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Olly Mlamleli says the Nala municipality, which includes Bothaville and Wesselsbron, has improved its revenue collection. This after financial management experts were called in to assist the troubled municipality. On its website National Treasury announced its intention to stop all financial transfers to the municipality. Treasury has cited breach of financial management prescripts and alleged mismanagement of public funds as the reasons. Mlamleli could not respond directly to the Treasury’s statement:
