Bloemfontein - A teacher at the Wilgehof Primary School in Bloemfontein will face a disciplinary hearing today for allegedly racially abusing a learner at the school.
Leonard MacKay, a Grade 6 and 7 teacher, was suspended after the alleged incident in June this year as well as for displaying an old South African flag and a picture of Julius Malema next to baboons on his classroom wall.
In a separate incident, MacKay is accused of assaulting a 12-year-old learner at the school a year ago.
That case will be heard in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
