Authorities raid Klerksdorp prison after inmate's murder─── DANE BEISHEIM 10:50 Tue, 27 Aug 2013

Klerksdorp - The departments of correctional services in North West and Gauteng sent emergency support teams to the Klerksdorp Prison to confiscate concealed weapons this morning.
This follows the death of a prisoner yesterday after violence broke out when authorities conducted a search for dangerous objects.
Nine other prisoners were injured, four of whom critically.
Correctional services' regional commissioner, Alfred Tsetsane confirmed that the incident was gang related.
He said most of the injured offenders have been discharged from hospital.
