Kovsie students relieved trial is over─── OWEN KOCK 11:58 Tue, 09 Sep 2014

Bloemfontein - The six month ordeal of Kovsie students Cobus Muller and Charl Blom, accused of among other attempted murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, came to an end this morning.
The ruling lasted just under an hour.
They were found not guilty by magistrate Rasheed Matthews on all the charges against them.
The complainant, Damane Gwebu, claimed the two tried to kill him, and assaulted and racially abused him on the night of February 17 on the Bloemfontein campus of the University of the Free State.
Matthews said Gwebu was not a reliable witness, neither were the state's other witnesses. Speaking to OFM News shortly after the ruling, Muller said he’s glad the truth prevailed.
Blom said it’s now time to get on with life.
Gwebu could not be reached for comment.
