First phase of investigation at Khi Solar One completed─── OWEN KOCK 07:42 Sat, 08 Nov 2014
Upington - The first phase of the investigation into the accident at the Khi Solar One plant outside Upington has been completed, but the outcomes thereof will not be released at this stage.
On Monday, two people died at the plant when a crane fell over during a storm. Six more workers were injured.
According to the spokesperson of the department of labour, Kebalepile Khula, their team will return to the plant during the course of next week for the second phase of their investigation.
At this stage the department of labour could not say with certainty when work at the plant will resume.
Khula says work will only commence when the department is satisfied that all safety measures are in place.
