SA banks come out tops with regards their social media performance─── THANDI XABA 06:09 Wed, 19 Aug 2015

Bloemfontein - South African banks have come out tops with regards their social media performance.
This is according to the 2014/2015 Ubiquity Social Intelligence Report.
The research however showed clients were slightly more negative than positive about banking fees after efforts by banks to reduce costs.
Head of Pricing at Absa Retail Banking, Jean Van Rooyen, says service fees help towards innovative products for their clients.
He says in response to changing customer behaviour, the 2015 pricing model aims to encourage and reward customers who make use of electronic as opposed to traditional banking channels.
According to Van Rooyen, technological adoption will allow customers to perform their daily and monthly transactions such as payments, withdrawals and deposits at a fraction of the cost.
