It's Time: FS police commend "disciplined" motorists─── MARK STEENBOK 10:06 Mon, 24 Apr 2017
Bloemfontein - The Free State Department of Police, Roads and Transport has commended the disciplined manner in which motorists attending the It’s Time prayer gathering in Bloemfontein at the weekend, conducted themselves.
Spokesperson for the department, Kabelo Moloabi, says very high traffic volumes were experienced in the province in the lead-up to and aftermath of the gathering on Saturday.
He says traffic increased from Thursday last week, adding that on Saturday, almost 560 000 vehicles were seen at the Wilde Als farm, where the event was held. “I would like to commend them, indeed there were a few motorists that were arrested for speeding and going over the white barrier lines. Those are mistakes that anybody can commit. However they (motorists) were very well behaved,” says Moloabi.
