UFS students back in court─── MOEKETSI MOGOTSI 08:01 Tue, 16 May 2017
The five University of the Free State students who were arrested for contravening a court order last month are expected to appear at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court this morning for a regional court date to be set.
The students were protesting against the de-registration of provisionally registered students.
They were arrested at the institution’s Bloemfontein campus after attempting to disrupt ongoing tests in exam halls.
Meanwhile, the university allowed more than a hundred students to re-register after the Student Representative Council and the management of the UFS reached an agreement following a series of engagements.
