NW: Suspects still on the loose after attack on farm worker─── MARK STEENBOK 08:52 Mon, 01 Jan 2018
The police are still on the lookout for an unknown number of suspects in connection with the attack on an elderly farm worker on a farm outside Koster in North West.
Police spokesperson, Kelebogile Moleko, says an investigation into the matter continues after the 66-year-old farm worker was attacked, assaulted and held at gunpoint by the suspects on Friday.
She says the worker was later forced to open the main house on the farm, after which the men allegedly stole various household items which include a refrigerator, meat, a shotgun and ammunition.
Moleko says the suspects then loaded the items onto a trailer and fled the scene with a Toyota Land Cruiser which belongs to the farmer. A 27-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
