Mabuza convenes 21st meeting of HRDC─── 09:55 Sat, 22 Sep 2018
Deputy President David Mabuza yesterday visited Rustenburg in North West where he convened the 21st meeting of the Human Resource Development Council as part of the drive to build human capital for the country.
Mabuza’s spokesperson, Thami Ngwenya, told OFM News that the visit by Mabuza was preceded by the launch of the province’s HRD Council consisting of representatives from government, organised labour and civil society.
Ngwenya says the Provincial Council initiatives are set up to pass to provincial level the implementation of the council Strategy for South Africa in line with the National Development Plan 2030.
He says the HRDC meeting, chaired by the Deputy President, noted progress achieved thus far by the Provincial Government in cultivating the required skills in areas such as science and technology, engineering and the development of artisans to address the economic needs of the province.
