#Macufe - So far so good─── JOSCA HUMAN 11:14 Sun, 07 Oct 2018
It's so far so good, at the annual Mangaung African Cultural Festival (Macufe) in Bloemfontein.
Police spokesperson Thabo Covane says no serious incidents have thus far been reported.
However, police are ready to tackle anything that comes their way.
He also says that various authorities will be keeping a close watch, to ensure crime is kept at bay.
Covane adds there will be a police parade in the city at 12:30 this afternoon.
He appeals to revelers to help police by reporting crime and also guarding their property when attending events.
Macufe, now in its 21st year, attracts thousands of merrymakers from across the province, South Africa and neighbouring countries such as Lesotho, Botswana and Namibia, and accommodation in the City of Roses is once again fully booked.
Local and international artists are strutting their stuff during different shows that are taking place.
The festival ends October 14.
