Rustenburg - Three people injured in a taxi crash outside Rustenburg have died in hospital, bringing to four the number of lives it has claimed. North West public safety spokesperson Lesiba Kgwele says one person died at the scene of the accident, yesterday afternoon. The other three people died in the Job Shimankana Tabane hospital. Kgwele says the minibus taxi overturned on the Bakwena Platinum Highway, in Kroondal, ten kilometres from Rustenburg. The driver is thought to have lost control of the vehicle when a tyre burst. Fifteen people, including the driver, were injured and taken to hospital. Traffic is heavy in North West today, at the start of the school holidays.
