The department of water affairs has issued another warning to people living near flooding dams at Douglas in the Northern Cape as water levels are rising fast in that area. The department's Vincent Redbath says the weather bureau has predicted another 30% chance of rainfall in the next 24 hours. He says the Vaal dam is 100% full and seven sluice gates will remain open for the next two days. The Bloemhof dam is 104% full after reaching the peak of 110%. The Gariep dam is now 115% full after reaching the peak of 119% and the Van der Kloof dam is 113% full.
