Bloemfontein - Centenary celebrations had a huge kick start in Botshabelo outside Bloemfontein this morning. President Jacob Zuma visited residents in their homes, listening patiently to the problems they are facing daily. Residents told OFM News that they hope Zuma's visit would alleviate the conditions in the township. They say they are living in extreme poverty, and there are no job opportunities. A group of ANC Youth League supporters were awaiting Zuma, chanting anti-Zuma songs and pledging their support to Julius Malema. Moving on to the taxi rank at a shopping centre in Botshabelo, Zuma adressed a crowd, reminding them of the history of the ANC. Zuma is expected in Bloemfontein later this afternoon. ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema will meanwhile lead a mini rally in Kayelisha at 4pm today.
