Do you love reptiles? Have you always wanted to help scientists with their research? Well, now you can. The National Museum in Bloemfontein need the help of kids across the Free State with their Citizen Science Project. Take a listen here.
Cora Stobie is a herpetologist from the National Museum in Bloemfontein. One of the projects she is working on with her colleague, Dr Michael Bates, is currently active on a Facebook group titled "Free State Reptiles and Amphibians".

The aim of the group is to seek to collect and promote photographic records of reptiles and amphibians from the Free State.
They have had a lot of success with the page to date – and accumulated over 1100 photographic records for 82 species and produced ten distribution maps for species common in Bloemfontein and the surrounding Free State. They would like to get more people involved in citizen science and for this outreach project in particular, they need the kids in the Free State to be their eyes and ears.
