This week’s Pollen Report from the University of Cape Town Lung Institute shows that:

In Bloemfontein, although grass counts were low this sampling period, tree counts increased sharply and high counts were detected for buddleja and cypress. Moderate levels were seen for pine and plane and other tree types including willow, oak, white stinkwood and poplar. Weed levels were low and moulds very low.

In Kimberley, very low levels of grass were detected. Tree pollen levels were generally low, but ranged from low to moderate during the sampling period. Tree types detected were cypress, pine, yellowwood, white mulberry and pecan. Weed levels were low and moulds extremely low.
