… in Bloemfontein, tree pollen counts are now decreasing. Types detected include birch, poplar, oak, ash, cypress, pine and yellowwood. Weeds counts remain low and types detected include daisy, Euphorbia, protea and Erica. Grass and mould levels remain low.
….in Kimberley, tree pollen levels remain low with types detected including acacia, cypress, birch, gum, pine and yellowwood. Weed levels also remain low with goosefoot and Euphorbia detected. Grass and mould levels remain low.
Although on the downward trajectory, tree pollen counts continue to be high in Gauteng, Bloemfontein and Cape Town. Grass, weed and mould levels remain low, except in Durban where significant levels of Epicoccum, an allergenic fungal spore, were detected.
