Pollen report for 19 - 25 February 2021 | News Article

Overall levels across the country are low, except in Bloemfontein and Kimberley, where grass pollen levels are high.

Allergy sufferers take note: this week’s Pollen Report from the University of Cape Town Lung Institute shows that...

In Bloemfontein, grass counts increased. Tree counts were low, with eucalyptus and waxberry detected, among others. Levels for weeds, such as nettle and iris, were low. Moulds were almost moderate.

In Kimberley, grasses were high. Tree levels remained low with occasional elm and cypress detected. Low weed counts included ferns and maize. Moulds were low overall but significant levels of Alternaria were detected daily.
