Anel shares information about what drives the anti-breastfeeding sentiment in South Africa as well as what we need to do to step up for breastfeeding in South Africa.

NPBSA is a group of lactivist mothers, breastfeeding peer supporters, academics and healthcare practitioners invested in changing attitudes around breastfeeding. South Africa has the lowest rate of exclusively breastfed babies in the world. Societal ills are contributing to these shocking stats, as it's enshrined into our constitution that a baby has the right to optimum nutrition.
